Otherwise known as Makena State Park, Big Beach is one of the most spectacular feats of nature on the island.  <\/li>\n<li>Portuguese Man-o&#39;-War.  <\/li>\n<li>Hiking Unawares.  <\/li>\n<li>Flash Floods.  <\/li>\n<li>Scorpions and Centipedes.  <\/li>\n<li>Jumping Off Waterfalls.  <\/li>\n<li>Staph Infections.  <\/li>\n<li>Swimming in Murky Water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"what-is-the-most-beautiful-beach-in-maui\"><\/span>What is the most beautiful beach in Maui?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Hamoa Beach Though it&#39;s a mere pocket of sand at the Hana end of Maui\u2014no longer than 1,000 feet\u2014Hamoa is undoubtedly one of Maui&#39;s most beautiful beaches. It&#39;s backed by a thick forest of Hala trees, its shore is wide and golden, and its waters a brilliant shade of aquamarine.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"what-part-of-maui-is-best\"><\/span>What part of Maui is best?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Best Places to Stay in Maui<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"where-should-you-not-stay-in-maui\"><\/span>Where should you not stay in Maui?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Kapalua is at the far north end of West Maui. It has a few condos and one hotel. But Kapalua gets more rain and wind than any other part of West or South Maui, so I would not recommend this area. Although some people disagree, in my opinion, this is not the best area to stay in Maui.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"what-side-of-maui-is-best-to-stay-on\"><\/span>What side of Maui is best to stay on?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Most people stay in West Maui, if for no other reason than it&#39;s where the majority of the resorts and condos are. West Maui is home to Maui&#39;s original resort areas, and it&#39;s still where most of the tourists flock today. West Maui is usually sunny and dry, making it perfect beach weather.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"is-5-days-in-maui-enough\"><\/span>Is 5 days in Maui enough?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>How Many Days on Maui. You will never want to leave Maui, and there are enough beaches, hikes, road trips and adventures to easily fill a week or more on the island. At a minimum, though, I recommend three days on Maui if you are island hopping or five days on Maui if this is your only stop.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"is-road-to-hana-worth-it\"><\/span>Is Road to Hana worth it?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Road to Hana is known as one of the most beautiful drives in the world due to its lush forest, coastal views, and stunning beaches but it&#39;s not all rainbows and sunshine.
